The MCIT Board of Directors is a diverse group of individuals bringing to
the governance of MCIT expertise in business, finance, insurance and local
government. The MCIT Board of Directors consists of county commissioners, county
auditors/county aduitor-treasurers and a county coordinator/ administrator elected
and appointed from member counties. Six of the nine seats are voted upon by member
counties at MCIT's Annual Membership Meeting held in early December. Two seats are
appointed by the Association of Minnesota Counties Board of Directors. The Minnesota
Association of County Administrators recommends a coordinator or
administrator which is subject to approval by the MCIT Board. Board members elected
at large by the membership serve staggered four-year terms. Board members appointed
by the Association of Minnesota Counties serve staggered two-year terms. The county
coordinator/administrator also serves a two-year term.
