MCIT's Workers’ Compensation Division premiered in 1979. With the success of this program, MCIT introduced the Property/Casualty Division in 1985. Members of MCIT typically participate in both divisions of the Trust.

Property/Casualty Division
Tailored to meet the unique exposures of its members, MCIT provides unparalleled coverage. Members are required to purchase coverage for all property/casualty exposures. MCIT’s coverage limits mirror the state tort caps for claims to which M.S. 466 applies. MCIT provides $2 Million per occurrence for claims that are not subject to M.S. 466.

Workers’ Compensation Division
Minnesota Statute 176 provides guidance on claims submitted by employees of MCIT members that have sustained work related injuries and illnesses.
