DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Safety Council presents “Overview of a Recovery Friendly Workplace.” A recovery friendly workplace: \n\nCreates safer work environments\nEducates supervisors about possible employee impairment\nHelps staff stay updated on trends with substance in the workplace that can cause danger to the workforce\nContributes to employee retention\n\nRecovery friendly workplace employers are committed to creating environments where employees feel supported and empowered to seek help when needed. \n \nNo need to register for this event\, just click the button above to join the live session. \nWhat You Learn\nThe informational session is offered specifically for MCIT members to learn more about: \n\nWhat a recovery friendly workplace is and its process\nBenefits of a recovery friendly workplace\nHow to schedule free 2.5-hour reasonable suspicion training through the Minnesota Safety Council\n\nWho Should Attend\nThis session is appropriate for those who are involved in developing and enforcing personnel policies and programs\, as well as risk management and workplace safety programs. This may include: \n\nHuman resources directors/managers or those tasked with this role\nAdministrators/coordinators\nExecutive directors\nRisk managers\n\nWhat Is Reasonable Suspicion Training?\nReasonable suspicion training is an essential step in fostering a recovery friendly environment. It gives supervisors the skills to recognize and respond to possible substance use with care\, help protect employees’ health and maintain a safe workplace. Through a new collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health\, the Minnesota Safety Council offers reasonable suspicion training to employers at no cost.
