MCIT will present 2019 Coverage Review webinars in mid-January. Each webinar discusses coverage changes, common questions about all coverage types and how to report claims.
The one-hour live “Property and Liability Coverage Review” is appropriate for all member types and will be presented Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. This webinar includes a Q&A session with presenters at the end. This session is required for county members.
Separate prerecorded webinars will be available for agricultural societies and for soil and water conservation districts. The sessions address the most common exposures for these member types.
All employees and officials who deal with MCIT coverage are encouraged to attend the appropriate webinar. This may include the MCIT primary contact, county attorney, administrator/coordinator, commissioners, sheriff, auditor, risk manager, entity director, supervisors, etc. The coverage review is particularly helpful for new officials and staff.
Individual sessions detailing property and liability coverage will be provided as on-demand recordings for those who need a full review of MCIT coverage, not just changes for 2019. These coverage reviews will be posted Jan. 17 to MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/.
Later in December, the MCIT primary contact will receive the Coverage Review booklet, 2019 Coverage Document and property schedules. The primary contact or designee for each county member must view the “Property and Liability Coverage Review” and return a signed form to MCIT acknowledging he or she participated in the webinar and MCIT has provided opportunities to learn about coverage.
Primary contacts will receive an e-mail invitation for the live “Property and Liability Coverage Review.” A registration link will also be posted to MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/.
No registration is needed to view the on-demand “Agricultural Society Coverage Review” and the “SWCD Coverage Review.” Members will be able to access the recorded sessions starting Jan. 17 at MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/.
If members cannot attend the live “Property and Liability” webinar, they can view a recording posted to MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/ at a later date.
More information about how to register for and attend the MCIT Coverage Review webinar is available at MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/.
Members who have other questions about the webinars or want to discuss coverage concerns, should contact their MCIT risk management consultant at 1.866.547.6516.
