2018 Coverage Review Webinars: Jan. 18

MCIT 2018 Coverage Review webinars will be broadcast or available to stream Jan. 18. Each of the sessions addresses coverage changes for 2018, common questions about coverage and how to report claims.

All employees and officials who deal with MCIT coverage should attend an appropriate webinar. This may include the MCIT primary contact, county administrator/coordinator, attorney, commissioners, sheriff, auditor, risk manager, entity director, supervisors, etc.

Live Session Airs at 2 p.m.

The one-hour live “Property and Liability Coverage Review” is appropriate for all member types and will be presented Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. This webinar includes a Q&A session at the end. Members are encouraged to stay online for this discussion.

The primary contact or designee for each county member must view the “Property and Liability Coverage Review.” The county’s primary contact or designee must also sign a form acknowledging he or she understands MCIT coverage and that MCIT has provided opportunities to learn about coverage.

Primary contacts for county members have received an e-mail invitation for the live coverage review. A registration link is also posted to If members cannot attend the live “Property and Liability” webinar, they can view a recording posted to at a later date.

Recorded Sessions for Agricultural Societies, SWCDs

Separate prerecorded webinars will be provided for agricultural societies and for soil and water conservation districts. The sessions address the most common exposures for these member types.

The MCIT primary contact received the Coverage Review booklet, 2018 Coverage Document and schedules in December.

Individual one-hour webinars detailing property and liability coverage will be provided as on-demand recordings for those who need a full review of MCIT coverage, not just changes for 2018. These coverage reviews will be posted to Jan. 18.
