Webinars Detail Important Changes to Coverage for 2021

Computer monitor shows welcome slide for 2021 MCIT Coverage UpdateMCIT will offer 2021 Coverage Review webinars in mid-January. These sessions are an excellent opportunity to learn about MCIT coverage, particularly changes for 2021, and how coverage applies to a member’s operations.

Live Update Focuses on Changes

The live “2021 MCIT Coverage Update” Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. focuses on changes in coverage for the year and common questions about coverage. The session is appropriate for all member types and is required for all county members to view. This webinar includes a Q&A session at the end.

MCIT risk management consultants are available any time to address coverage inquiries, but members may submit general questions about coverage prior to the live event to be answered during the webinar. Simply send an e-mail to info@mcit.org and include “question for coverage review” in the subject line.

If members cannot attend the live “2021 MCIT Coverage Update,” they can view a recording posted to MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/ at a later date.

All employees and officials who deal with MCIT coverage are encouraged to attend the live webinar. This may include the MCIT primary contact, county attorney, administrator/coordinator, commissioners, sheriff, auditor, risk manager, entity director or supervisors.

The primary contact or designee for each county member must view the “2021 MCIT Coverage Update” and return a signed form to MCIT acknowledging he or she participated in the webinar and MCIT has provided opportunities to learn about coverage.

Recorded Sessions Provide In-depth Explanations

In addition to the live update, separate on-demand sessions for agricultural societies and for soil and water conservation districts address the most common exposures for each.

Individual sessions detailing property and liability coverage will be provided as on-demand videos for those who need a full review of MCIT coverage, not just changes for 2021. These videos are particularly helpful for new officials and staff.

Registration Details

Primary contacts received an e-mail invitation for the live “2021 MCIT Coverage Update.” A registration link is also posted to MCIT.org/training-calendar/.

No registration is needed to view the on-demand sessions for agricultural societies, SWCDs, liability coverage and property coverage. Members will be able to access these sessions starting Jan. 21 at MCIT.org/coverage-reviews/.
